Free Your Mind wall is one of our first murals we painted together in Barcelona. It is a piece of art expressing the release of creativity, one’s own potential and artistic awareness. Defragmentation, split faces and vagueness of shapes allow you open interpretation of the character’s mood, feelings and state of the spirit.
Parallel Universes Mural at Arnau Gallery #15 edition in Barcelona The wall was painted with Puke, a renowned graffiti artist from Barcelona and my boyfriend Roman in front of the old Arnau Theatre. ‘Parallel Universes’ was created for Arnau Gallery (15th edition), an open art space initiated by Antoine Careil, curated by Street Art Barcelona and sponsored by Montana Colors. Arnau Gallery is a project aiming to promote in a new way contemporary urban art in Barcelona. The idea was to bring more attention to the Theatre, portrayed as a sleeping woman in the centre of the project. Her burgundy red hair are in fact a curtain releasing a dream scene. Mechanical cancan, a symbol of modernity, enter the stage in the spotlight. Soft feathers are falling down, sheared lines are passing through the wall, pendulum has stopped moving, maybe it’s a night or a day scene. All this gives the impression that time has ceased to exist for a moment. The apple in the man’s head plays an important role, a temptation, so often desired by many people, however the pierrot looking in opposite direction seems to be not interested in it. Various techniques were used to make this wall. We combined spray paint, brush strokes, heavy medium, glossy varnish and spray caps. Thanks to Toni Garcia Camps for nice shots and massive thanks to MN_ice for photos and an awesome video.
Live painting at MeetingPoint Gallery in Barcelona located next to the MACBA Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona in the heart of Raval and city centre. The concept is to illustrate different emotions of people and portray their behaviours. As I’m interested in people attitudes, therefore I used different techniques to express various poses. I combined spray paint, brush strokes and heavy medium to express contrasting feelings or desires. In this piece of work, I was searching for a transition between clean graphic aesthetics and artistic expression. Massive thanks to MN_ice for an awesome video.
Psyched Up wall was painted last year in Barcelona during one the hottest days of the summer. I am not joking it was over 35°C! We started in the morning and had everything set up; the cans, tape, brushes and the project. We picked a wall a day before so we knew what we are planning to do. It was fun painting this wall however it was a challenge to complete it in such conditions.
Massive thanks to MN_ice for an awesome video and the ICE CREAMS!
More Walls! More Colours more FUN!
Parallel Minds wall portrays relations between people and corresponding minds. Each of the windows presents a separate story and contains a unique message, however you can also notice the parallelity between elements contained in all of the windows. Where is the start and where the end? What’s the direction of viewing? Is there any defined order? Another piece with open gates of interpretation, which can lead the viewer into the fields of intimate, personal reflections.
Tin wall is one of our favourite walls cos we were painting it for our 10th anniversary! Project focus on the meaning of time and present emotions. What is now? If everything is happening in the current moment, then what about the perception of reality, which is always shaped by everything we have experienced so far? And even if we are able to BE TOGETHER with the legacy of our past, why do we so often go out and wonder on the horizonless fields of the imagined future? So what is it, that is now? You are now, your feelings and everything you have in that moment. Don’t walk back and don’t run forward. Be present. Feel everything as it unfolds. Now.
Inside Out wall portrays transformation of thoughts, visions and ideas, which lean towards different dimensions. If you feel the colour flow inside, it will always express on the outside…
